The principles:
The principles of the earth charter is to reflect the international consultations, it is based on contemporary science and international laws. The Earth Charter was sent to a few countries around the world to be discussed, commented and reflected so people can think twice before doing things that would damage our planet.

Origin:
In 1987 the United Nations World Commission on Environment and Development invented a new earth charter that would make people think about the world and our conditions of living. In 1994 Maurice Strong, the Secretary General of the Earth Summit, Chairman of the Earth Council, and Mikhail Gorbachev, President of Green Cross International, made a new Earth Charter with support from the Dutch government. An Earth Charter Commission was formed in 1997 to review the project.
Missions:
The mission of the Earth Charter is to help build a proper world based on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice, and a culture of peace
We hope that maybe with more information from the earth charter, people would start caring about the Earth and the nature.
