Earth Charter- Our view |
When the creators of the Earth Charter created it they were worried about the future of our world. They wrote a letter based on basic principles that are also based upon contemporary science, international law, and the insights of philosophy and religion. They wrote it carefully so everybody could read it and have food for thought. The charter can make us reflect about what we are doing with our own world, if we are taking good care of it .The official launching of the Earth Charter was at the Peace Palace in The Hague on June 29, 2000.They want to ‘save’ the world by making the people not just think about but also doing something to help the planet.

The Earth Charter Continental conference happened in Brazil, and was organized by a effort between the Government of Mato Grosso and the earth Council.

The Earth Charter values and principles must be taught, contemplated, applied and internalized. To this end, the Earth Charter needs to be incorporated into both formal and non-formal education. This process must involve various communities, continue to integrate the Charter into the curriculum of the schools. Then, they will finally reach their goal, witch is to make an alliance to keep the world.
